what is a bug? you gotta explain it better.

usually exploiting bugs is cheating, but who says what you experienced is a bug until you tell us what it is?

A bug that gives free items is stopping you from playing the game?

Baffled is a good word here.

Intentionally exploiting this kind of bug is called Exploiting.

It can result in your game account being permanently banned. Not saying that they will do this, but according to the EULA they can.

Unless this bug is harming other peoples gameplay and as you have reported it then i dont see the problem. I suppose though its best to err on the side of caution...but when did kirk ever do that?

In theory at least this is harming other people. If you get rich by selling items you got from a bug, can effect the economy to one degree or another. Not that there is much of one in STO... But the idea is the same, and if you do it, you can get your account banned.

If you're the one who reported the bug, and then kept using it, the odds of you getting into trouble increase because you clearly knew or at least suspected that it was a bug in the first place.
