The 3000 extra hull is what, one round of fire or one good critical hit. You're gonna have to do better than that.
Tell you what, when I get home, Ill post you a few screenshots.. Then you can explain exactly how KDF ships are OPd.

(You do realize I mainly fly Fed, right?)

LOLMAO - really at this point this complaint is bordering on the pathetic and somewhat delusional. The feds posses several ships that have a higher potential than the BoP, if played properly.
The only way a BoP takes on any three fed ships and wins is if the feds are completely new to pvp and don't know what to do, have no teamwork or just zerg right in to combat willy-nilly.
It does happen, I've killed feds that quickly, but not against experienced players. That takes teamwork.

This probably isn't saying much, but all Klingon ships can use dual heavy cannons. We all know that those are the most powerful weapons. The best Starfleet has to offer are single cannons or turrets unless you fly a galaxy-x or an escort. And yes, I do have a Klingon. It's nice to win a PvP or two ever now and then. :p

Heres the deal:

Escort: DPS, Spikedamage
Cruiser: Healing, Tanking
Sci : Crowdcontrol, Debuffing

---------------------------------------

Its all about how you use your team, sure, the Neghvar can fit dual heavy cannons, but it dont really have the BO slots to really exploit those possibilities.. If you take a look at PvP matches youll find that the KDF battlecruisers more often than not, are NOT the main damage dealers.

The Negh'var is a cruiser.. Its main function is to heal its team (really important with BOPs flying around, with low hull and shield and all).. If it cannot heal its team, it have failed bigtime.

Nothing is worse than a cruiser that doesnt heal/support - Its even worse than a Escort that doesnt DPS.

I'm not disagreeing with you. It definitely helps to have a healer. I sure wish those on my side of the PvP would get that... the escorts would last longer.

While you don't have the BO spots in a Negh'var to take full advantage, DHC definitely help, tho. :p

I'm not meaning to down play the effect of some good DHC focus fire, but consider the small firing arc verses the sustained damage output of wide arc beam attacks. The burst damage from even a low level Beam Overload (which you can get earlier than the lowest cannon buff) is pretty nice. Cannons are great but not the best in all situations.

i can agree with you there.

B:OII can seriously do some heavy damage well worth acknowledging. my engineering captain can make over 10K damage in one shot through half drained shields

Two things:

1: 45 degree arc in a Negh'var is problematic if youre shooting at any decent player NOT in a Cruiser..
2: Unless they changed it (been quite a while since I played my Eng/Negh Klingon), you cant fit DHC of the same level (one level below works, so MK VIII for BG, MK VI for Captain etc)

Negh'var suffers from the same problem a Raptor do, the ensign slot is redundant.. As a healer or tank you usually have 2 EP2S and 2 ETeams.. I use 2x EP2S1 and 2xETeam3 so finding an ability to go into the 3rd ensign slot is.. problematic, if you want to avoid global CDs.. On the other hand, its not hard finding a use for the Tac Ensign on the Assault Cruiser or the Sci Ensign on the Starcruiser

Raptor is the exact same deal.. I want to spike with an Escort (Raptor is a escort), so Ill usually have CRF2, BOL3, HYT2 running with appropiate buffs.. Throw in a BFAW1 and you risk messing that up, which is why Im using dual TacTeams and a single HYT1 in my slots there (in my Defiant and Raptor alike) Fleet and Advanced Escort both have FAR better options in their BO seats.

Now, I play on my Fed toons around 90% of the time.. Except for a few specific KDF PvP fleets (which are better players than me), I dont have a problem fighting them, quite the contrary infact.
