20mins early? I wasn't sure if it was 40mins late 10-12 UTC yet it's coming up to 12 now for UTC even if you don't include daylight saving (which I don't think you do as my pc says UTC - 11:44). Oh well guess i'll just get on with rl stuff while I wait.

Yeah, thx. Just realised that. Still there is a big difference between on the hour and 40 minutes. I reckon they must have all had a bit too much to drink on Friday and were all laying about the Cryptic office with old pizza boxes around them, when one suddenly wakes and screams, "Frak, we forgot downtime" and presses the button.

And again, no message in-game, no warning, nada... You used to have this Cryptic, but lately this feature has been MIA.

It's very nice to get say 30 min warning, 15 min, 10 min and 5 or 3 min, so that players can see it and not start a long haul mission like the Empok Nor (sp?) one, wich is quite long dirt side...

Please do not forget this again, as it's a pain in the back having to the ground part from the start again... Not fun at all...

i'd say simply a 1min warning would be better than just getting booted. not to mention 30, 15, 10, 5, 1 ...

it is considered RUDE and INCONSIDERATE of your PAYING CUSTOMERS to disconnect them w/o any In-Game warning short of an emergency for a Maint. This is a LONG STANDING practice within the MMO world (since at least Closed Beta of EQ1.. I know.. I was there). Cryptic used to do this. Even I remember countdowns for Maint...

So why did you not bother to do it this time? Yeah you started your maint about 40 Minutes late but that is not an excuse for you to disconnect your paying customers without even the courtesy of a 5 minute warning that the servers were going to be brought down.

It's just Rude Cryptic. Please try to do better next time.

just as i logged into the game launcher there was a warning of the downtime actually, instead of just hitting engage, maybe you should check out the messages in the game launcher
