It is... Troubble is that there is a massive amount of "oh-noes-don't-shoot-the-regular-shards-it-will-heal-it" noobs in that mission.

If half the wisea***s out there would just spend the stupid 5 minutes it takes to read the dozen or so proper tutorials here on the forums, i'd bet lots more than the small handfull we are atm who have beaten the thing.

The crystalline entity was never beaten by phaser power originally so why is it here.

I would happily see this quest removed from the game until it can be implemented and completed without 20 players and phaser power.
One of the worst quests in-game currently!

if u get a group of ppl with scramble sensor it works wonders
i had taken in a group of 4 ppl, each with scramble sensors and it stops dead, none of the large bits move nor does the small bits.

just need to time those scrable sensors correctly

B4 the game went "LIVE" it could be completed by the lower levels but then we had ppl crying that it was TOO EASY and the DEVS "fixed" it to what we have now. Like you all said; a totally unplayable end UNfun mission.

The DEVS really really need to fix this back to the way it was.

lol even the way it was, there werre many complaints... no one knew what crystals to hit, and not attack etc..... the way it was was fine at lower levels but it was meant to introduce to fleet action ...

It's too bad, something that large has such potential for being such a great 'raid boss'. just needs a complete redesign

Yeah, I went in there with myself at Commander and four other Commanders in crusers and a Lt. Commander in an Escort and we couldn't keep up with its regen (once and a while, someone always messes up and gets blown up). Plus there were some AI Nebula-class and Miranda-class ships that showed up (what's up with that?) which constantly were destroyed, regening it. We never got it down past 98% in 45min, so we quit. I don't know if it's better once you get up there in level, but as it is it's not happening at low level.
