A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
I think what the OP is getting at is there always seems to be one of the minerals to scan within aggro distance of 4 or 5 groups with 8+ enemies in them. Even more frustrating was attempting to knock out the groups one at a time took just long enough that the groups would respawn back in.
Here's another screenshot that also illustrates the problem getting some of the mineral samples
I have been playing this for 3 yes 3 frickin hours.....I have completed it once, but did not get all the mineral samples.......I am missing one. It started over and I can not get within 3KM of a mineral without getting jumped by 3 or 4 groups of 8 frigates.
First, I would only say that I hope everyone understands this mission is a Fleet Action. It's not designed to be a single-player event. You're supposed to be doing this with 5, 10, 25 people. Not just one trying to do it all himself. I'm not saying it's impossible to do by yourself. I'm simply saying that no one should expect to be able to complete all the objective of a "Fleet" Action by themselves.
I did the Klingon version solo and all I got was a sucky deflector
Usually there's an angle you can approach to get the minerals unhindered, if not then fly into the asteroid and find a place where you can block line of sight for long enough to scan.
Other than that, I'm not sure of the question being asked here
