EDIT: I'll put this on the top so you don't have to read the whole wall of text if you don't want to. Turns out my fan wasn't kicking up to full speed when running STO. So I set my fan via EVGA Precision to run at 100% all the time. Played STO for a good couple hours and had no problems at all. So I think I might have fixed it *crosses fingers*

I too am having shutdown issues. I can play STO for a couple of hours and then BAM, my monitor will shutdown, the light will go amber, but yet I can still hear STO through my headphones. I have downloaded FurMark and did a Benchmark test, along with Real Temp 3.6 to check my CPU temps.

When idling or doing very limited things (ie sitting here typing this) my GPU is at 71-80 degrees Celsius. My CPU is at 39-41 degrees Celsius. When I ran the benchmark my GPU got up to 102 degrees Celsius just as the test ended, and was steadily going up the entire time. The CPU topped out at about 55 degrees Celsius by the end of the test. I have the side of the case open with a large box fan blowing directly on it (Couldn't find a smaller fan lol). I also ran DxDiag to test my DirectX. I'm hoping it's just dust (I haven't been able to get to a store and buy a can of air) that's causing this, but I wanted to post my results in case there was something I missed. Any information or help would be greatly appreciated. I love this game and I was actually contemplating getting a LTS until this started happening.
