# 1 What is this? and WHY?

Something is definately going on...

For the last week or two...

I see a lot of names I haven't seen in a long time in PvP!

Are people coming back to STO PvP en mass?

Yesterday I managed to put together an OmegaXIII team (for the first time in months), and we went to do some space arena fighting....

The queues were positively crawling with players wanting to PvP! FvF and FvK! And not only that, but in most of our matches we faced premades! (Being mostly a PvE fleet, we of course lost most of these, but we really had fun playing!)

Also, the last few days i've actually gotten into a few ground PvPs without having to wait too long!

Is it just me, or is the PvP community really coming back to life? I have to say i really like what i'm seing these days!

PVP does seem to be improving at the moment. There seem to be less klingon Premades happening and fewer feds flying escorts and that seems to be making for better match ups. I think a lot of the klingons are on testing out new ships as well.

So are a lot of people wishing for "almost-new, only slightly burned" warp nacelles?

I don't know what could cause it. Possibly the announcement of new ships? New ground gear from the Featured Episodes?
Or it's the season, more people have free time?

A friend of mine insists that the numbers are dropping in US. time zones, but Euroside I would say that it has been quite steady since the queues got (kinda) fixed.

NB. I have already drafted a Christmas letter to SantaClaws, but am waiting until December to mail it.

Do not expect anything for Xmas this year if you have been good. He doesn't like that.

well, last night we were playing in somthing like mid-atlantic prime time...

and people were signing up faster than the queues could process them... at one time FvK arena had 25/22 waiting for match!

also, in all the FvK matches we joined, we faced premade KDF teams!
