kinda wondering if Cryptic can make a new ship like a Carrier for the Fed or new Dread got a pic of what it could look like even got a pic of a possable new Escort

I could see both those being good Dreadnaughts..the bottom one looks plain evil.

Dreadnaughts, You do realize the federation are a peacing seeking armada. While you may want them to be war like This game has made it clear they will keep to canon. While your look does not really show much of a new aspect in design or purpose I give you credit for trying. The sovereign is not really fit for being a carrier. Its ship design is mainly for command and control situations.

I do not think the federation needs carriers but more along the lines of attack craft in small numbers. or nanite technology which can be used to disbale enemy attack craft.

This can be done by using ship such as these along with the famous nebula which can house fighters and shuttle craft.

that ares class pic is already in game as the advanced admiral level escort, pointy nose, quad nacelles and all

i realize your ares only has 2 nacelles, but adding 2 more gave it faster warp drive to intercept and destroy threats faster

Say no to (Federation) Carriers.

I think we should better come up with a ship idea that fits the Starfleet ideals but would still be useful in a war.

I present to you the Starfleet Deep Space Fleet Support Vessel.
The Fleet Support Vessel class of ship is a recent addition to Starfleet. The idea behind is to have a mobile command and support base that can operate deep into unknown space or - in times of war - behind enemy lines. Transwarp technology theoretically extends the reach of Starfleet tremendously, but most ships can only perform relatively short transwarp jumps and need transwarp gates to reach destinations farther out. Building Transwarp Gates is a non-trivial task and opens up certain risks - other species could use an unguarded gate.

So the solution to this problem Starfleet Engineering proposed is the Deep Space Fleet Support Vessel.

The DSFV is a mobile transwarp gate that can create temporary transwarp gates to locations within 50 light years. It is also equipped with an extensive deep space subspace communciation area and sensor phalanx, a repair yard support system and extended medical facilities.

Weapon Slots: 6
Consone Slots: 3 Engineering Consoles, 3 Science Consoles, 2 Tactical Consoles
Shields: As Science Vessel
Hull: 39.000
Turn Rate: 4
Bridge Officer Slots:
Commander Engineer, Lieutenant Commander Science, Lt. Tactical, Lt. Engineer, Ensign Science
Special Ability:
o Temporary Transwarp Channel.
- Cooldown 4 minutes.
- Up to 3 Channels can be active. If you create a new one, the first is despawned.
- An allied ship approaching the channel can immediately transwarp to the location of the DSFV (a low-priority interaction button appears and clicking on it will activate the transwarp.)
o Subspace Telescope Array
- Cooldown 2 minutes.
- 1.3 Stealth Sight Modifier for 30 seconds to all allies within 10 km.
o Repair Yard and Medical Faciltiies (Passive)
Any allied ship within 5km of the DSFV gains +100 % hull repair and crew recovery rate.
o Improved Transwarp Capability
The DSFV can reach additional Transwarp Location, similar to the Excelsior Retrofit.

Note this is not a Science Vessel, so no innate subsystem targeting or innate sensor bonuses.
One skin might be the old and ugly Jupiter class skin. (Maybe CapnLogan can freshen it up.)

It's probably still the healers wet dream ship. We can nerf it later.
