How about broken? Can we go with broken? Like the one-shotting mobs on Elite Ground?

And the only thing that impressed me on that list was new Sector Space, even though every time I see it I think "why wasn't this how it looked from the start?"

Speak for yourself - I enjoy writing my own story. :p

Characters don't need to THE one hero to be interesting. They don't need to be "legendary" and pull victories out of their asses. Starfleet isn't held together by a single person, and being a cog in the wheel doesn't mean that they lead boring lives.

To recite a comment about a common issue of modern MMOs: "If everything is epic, nothing is."

Hear, hear! I also play LOTRO, and in that game you don't get to be a member of the Fellowship, you're just a random doing background work to help in the war, and while the stuff you do is important it's not the most important. You only occasionally cross paths with the people doing the big stuff.

If you are that dissatisfied with the game...,

Why the heck are you still here playing it?

Sounds like you're wasting your money to me.

Even though that's your option if you wish.

On second thought, keep paying... I love what your money is doing for the game.

I'm not paying. My sub ran out last month. I am now waiting to see what the deal is with the Foundry to decide whether or not I should even continue following it here on the forums.

The new Sector Space gives me hope that the game could, one day, become something I would pay to play, but if I want it to get to that point, I have to tell them what I think needs to be there to be worth my money. They're not mind readers, and I'm not able to telepathically control them into making the game I like nor am I an omnipotent being capable of snapping the game I want into existence. That means commenting here on things which are important to me. Sorry if that bothers you so very much.

Thats a really biased and one sided comment there Cosmic. Because YOU and a few others don't want something the Devs shouldn't add it.

I am gonna be dead honest, I argued for the Connie and vehemently for the NX, so yes I have an agenda in this.

I got me a NX and rolled a whole new science officer to captain her, my twelfth toon thank you very much. I have already fallen in love with the seemingly anachronistic old biddy, even with it's port bridge windows and escape pods bodgered. Too many times I have looked to the time I will become a LtC and be forced to leave this hull behind. Saddened I am. As a Lt6 I flew her in Skirmish today and did not pop once with the difficulty set to advanced. I cannot boast the same of the T5 Vor'cha my LG Kling flies. *Sometimes I think the difficulty for endgame toons is far higher than it is for any other rank.*

I am forced to agree with CaptMattSchwab if blocking both the NX and the Connie from all PvP but Kerrat is what it takes to get these ships where I can enjoy them the most often, I am for it. As a player I will spend most of my time in endgame and that is where I want to enjoy a ship I paid real money to get.

Jez I paid for the privilege to fly this ship and after two days of casual play I have nearly out grown it. Besides I want a chance to see the NX refit in this game inthe future.

=) you make it sound so evil. We all have an "agenda" in this - we either want it or not.

But I think "agenda" is a harsh word. It's just what we want, and we all have a right to say it - respectfully of course.

And because YOU and a few others want something the Devs should add it? That argument is just as one-sided and biased. Let's be honest here: Neither of us has any numbers and everybody in this thread is biased (CardassianNinja nailed it), else he wouldn't make the effort to post and argue. On this basis, a compromise would seem to be the most logical option, but since it's already in the game (starter NX) and people are still not satisfied ...

The inconvenient truth is that you are already having fun in the game, else you wouldn't play it. However, you want to have more fun, disregarding that this also means other players will have less fun than they had before. That's not a very good position to pull the "moral high ground" card from.

Naww, nobody forces you. I stuck with my Nova (<3) for 3 tiers, and I know that quite a number of people kept their TOS Connie even up to T5. The progress is eased by slotting higher Mk gear - the worst thing about it is that you will miss out on BO powers (and I actually argued that this aspect should be able to be upgraded before).
I've also just recently grouped with an LtC who flies an NX (roleplaying it as a civilian vessel as it does stand out from contemporary Starfleet designs). So ... see it as a challenge.

It will be a little more difficult, obviously, but it won't be impossible and I don't see how, even when being in love with an anachronism, we have to resort to what basically will amount to "every single ship is the same" once every class in the game gets a T5 refit. I'd like to believe that the ships are a little more than just skins.

Even when you chastise me it makes me smile. LOL

I have tried to run a Connie way past it's optimal rank and got my arse handed to me during Night of the Comet. No I will trade her in for a proper T2 escort when the time comes, at least to get past that mission. Otherwise I will take your advice and try to squeeze as many ranks out of her as I can.
