# 1 Ahhh PVP is good again ...

Just started a new Fed character ... , and wow ... pvp is nice again .
No more frantic slaughterhouse of T5 , just simple powers ... and a ... much missed feeling of near equality between the factions .

An added bonus is teaching newer players about healing and teamwork , and even occasionally getting owned by a more experienced player or a successful team-up . :p

I missed this .

Glad to hear I'm not the only player who thinks there is fun to be had at the lower levels rather than racing to VA as fast as possible.

I quite like the more limited set of abilities you have at lower ranks, makes the choice about which ones to have that much more important and thus harder to make.

Gives you a nice warm feeling inside too when you teach a newer player a new trick.

Low level fed pvp is great, high VA level pvp is a painful slaughter nearly every single person i have talked to that has both Fed and Kling VA chars love doing kling va pvp and hate doing fed VA pvp.

Still im sure its balanced and its just that feds don't play right.. yet somehow when they log onto there Kling chars they develop the needed skills. Its amazing

Imo, I think the issue with Fed VA PvP is Maneuverability and CC. At lower levels, you have fewer BOFF Abilities so you don't have as many options on the plate, as well as ships of lower tiers have better turn rates, especially cruisers.

Most Feds fly a Cruiser of some type by the time they reach VA. They're basically large hovering bull's-eyes subject to rear focus fire and every CC imaginable. A well organized KDF team will tear through it like butter no matter how much healing it gets.

Now get a few Fed ships to focus fire on a BoP and it'll just pull a 180, Cloak and come back when with the rest of his team and resume the afformentioned slaughter.

I agree that in general Feds don't communicate or coordinate as well as Klinks do but I still think Speed and Maneuverability outshine Shields and Healing, espeically when it comes to Cap N' Hold because a few Klinks can lock down a Fed team indefinitely while a couple ships cap the rest of the map.

That might be because they try to play their feds like their klings. Pug v Pug, the first thing feds have to do is support that guy being focused on. If they're the target, then they need to play defensively. First thing klings think about is "hey, that other bop fired on that guy. I'll join him!"

I can't count how many pugs I've been in where me and another kling pilot kill an escort without his cruiser teammate tossing him any support.

It is definitely more simple at the lower tiers. Whether or not that's better depends on my attention span I suppose, lol.

I also "tank" in my miranda sometimes, but I get fullhealth after making pretty fireworks.
