I get hideous server timeout style stuff around midnight UK time for about 20 minutes almost everyday. I'm guessing it might be caused by a surge of peeps from the US logging on at the same time playting havoc with the login server.
still getting server not responding issues as of tonight, seems completely random, at times i have no problem for an hr or 2, then ill have several to the point where i have to continually relog, hope this gets patched up soon

logged out, swapped my proxy server from the EU to none and was straight back in, problem didnt re-occur.
I would think the issues other are experiencing might also relate to the EU proxy... might help cryptic locate and resolve problems if people check and report on that.
It's better to some degree, but definitely not fixed. The main problem is that the timeout doesn't disconnect and bring us back to the login screen. When this would happen before I'd just log back in. Now I have to shut down the whole program and launch again. Takes more time.
I have found the problem that is causing people to hang on the loading screen with the "Server not Responding" message. Thanks to everyone who submitted dumps. This was a very difficult problem to reproduce internally since it involved load and timing so your submitted dumps were very helpful in tracking down the problem. We will get the fix out as soon as we can get it through build and QA (probably early next week).
Man, I'm always up to giving Cryptic a big, smelly, warm dump. Don't you guys? Cryptic sure loves those dumps.
EDIT: actually, in hindsight, that whole scene of Ellie sifting through the crap looking for that needle in a... haystack is probably a pretty good analogy for what Cryptic had to do to figure out this bug. Thanks Cryptic for digging through our dumps!
