Yeah, it's like what part of "no matter how bad it may be" are people not understanding?

Not exactly high praise. The one positive point he drove home is that even if you sign up and find the place a source of unbearable agony, at least you won't suffer alone.

But then I wouldn't worry. He could've said Enterprise. He could've said Voyager. He could've said The Final Frontier. Well no, there's no one actually defending that, is there? (That's Star Trek V. Just saying... cause I had to look the sub-title up.) But no, he said DS9 was bad. And if the people who agree with that stay away, that can only be a good thing, right?

I have to agree with Varlo on this one, it's exactly what I thought after I watched it, but on the plus side, Casey Schreiner did get one thing very right, we are indeed "loyal fans" and also kinda hinted that STO is looking more promising than ever before, meaning that it is most definitely one to watch.

You consider that a compliment?
Personally, if someone thinks Deep Space 9 is bad, their further opinion about anything Trek-related is of little relevance.

To me that comment "No matter how bad..." isn't a poke at STO...It's a poke at Trek Fans....

In general...Trek fans will love ANYTHING associated with Trek....Trek is that kind of franchise.

That bit came off to me as the guy had some pretty positive things to say about STO...

Yep. Only the most favourable reviews of a thing end with the words "no matter how bad it may be".

You have every right to take it as you want.

I choose to look at it as he was making fun of Trek Fans...not STO per se..... LET ME HAVE MY FANTASY DAMMIT!!!!! hehehe

All things considered, Cataclysm shouldn't have been in the running. Its an expansion. An expansion is not an MMO its an add on. No surprise though that they *****d them selves out to Blizzard. As for calling DS9 a bad series? Sisko punched out Q. Cant get much cooler than that. Yes it was grim and gritty. So what. So is war. Suck it up, drive on.
