While I have never experienced a bug on the STFs. Others seem to have so I won't discount them. Otherwise they are fine. I like you can do the RA version for a quick easy run or the VA version for a bit more challenge.
Never had trouble completing them in under 2 hours, maybe 3 when I was learning them. This is a good amount of time for the raid style instance they are. If I want to do something in 1/2 an hour I will just go mission replay something.

I've noticed a few bugs with the cure when I run but me and my team usually make due and get through it. There are times its challenging due to the fact none of us are spec'd to the ground but we still manage. Ran it Thursday night in an hour and 40 minutes. each transformer set went like clockwork, boss came and got taken out. THe carrier went down in less then 5 minutes. just have to make sure your team is ballenced. Thats all I can really say about this one. I agree it could use some tweaking but its not impossible as it is now.

There's a steep learning curve for these missions, and practice does make a difference. I've been running them quite frequently the past couple of weeks (4 alts, 3 missions each, plus helping others in the fleet). What I've noticed is that our times are improving. We now complete Cure in less than 2 hours, and Khitomer in less than 2 1/2. Sure, we took 4+ hours when we first started doing them, but that has really changed over the past week. I've been thinking about what has made the change. A lot has to do with team work. When players know their role on the team, it cuts down on time. Also, before we start, I spend some time going over gear and equipment with the team. Does everyone have hypos? Does everyone have a sniper rifle? Does everyone have the right kits? Even deciding who to bring. Many players, myself included, have alts. Would it be better to bring a tactical officer than an engineer? I guess it boils down to planning and practice.

I used to think that KA was the hardest of the 3. Now, I would say Cure is a bit tougher. You may have heard that you have to have a team of 5 escorts to do the first space part. That is not true. We've found that balance is better. 2 escorts, 2 cruisers, 1 sci would be optimal. The escorts on 1 side. The sci/cruisers on the other side use gravity well, and then eject warp plasma. This combo has not failed us yet. Plus the GW and EWP work great to disable the cloak on the dreadnought at the end.

The Cure is fine the way it is. There is no need to dumb it down or make it easier.
