nettest check your packet tranfers of game traffic on some critical ports the game uses in the range of 7000-7500 (they can not do all the ports) in the outgoing and incoming packets and the tranfer rate. if the values in column 1 and 3 are less than 250 and column 2 is less than 13 then you will likely have lag and connection problems in the game.

so if nettest unable to pass traffic then the game will not be able to send and recieve game packets properly

(if using win7 or vista besure nettest is set to run as admin and is allowed by your antivirus and filewalls)
ahhh, so you saying that nettest.exe is official test from Cryptic?
If so why is it not coming from the official server?

the nettest is from cryptics server. it was developed during the deployment of thier game champions on line which STO uses the same game engine. the nettest server is used because it is not affected by player load. for the testing so you get the good test to and from the server.

Can you give me that server's ip?
And tomorrow we will do a thorough testing at work to find the source of the problem...
