Over all I am quite happy with my Caitian however there is a couple of issues in the traits I am not happy about.

FIrstly, there is exceptionally limited (2 if I remember correctly) Space traits. Why is this? There have been a few Caitian Admirals in Starfleet and there is no way they would have made it that far without commanding a starship, hence would need some form of space traits. Also since a massive part of this game is space combat, it's quite pointless making a character you need to pay for to get lack in this area of traits.

The second is the so called "Pounce" attack. This was most dissappointing. All it is is quite literally "Lunge 3" with a slightly higher damage point. Surely this can be reworked into something more of a proper "Pounce" attack to take advantage of the 75% jump increase this species has? Maybe something like a leaping attack with a slashing effect at the end of it would be more proper for this title?

I have discussed this in a recent Fleet meeting with my fellow Caitian's and they are in agreement that the species does decidely lack in these 2 areas, and for a species we had to pay for is really not aceptable.

Having said this, the overall look and modelling of the feline species is of very good quality and the details given to the fur and tufts really set this species off visually.

Please Dev's, can we look into a revamp of the traits and the Pounce attack? It would add so much more to this species as a whole.

I decided not to get pounce on my caitian, in favor of more space traits, but I agree that the ability is pretty useless, especially for tacticals that already have lunge.

As far as visuals/aesthetics go... still waiting for Caitian hairstyles and an option for digitigrade legs with no shoes =/

I'm very dubious about the hair thing for Caitians, can't imagine a cat with a mowhawk or dreadlocks lol. Something more species specific would be good. Thicker, fluffy hair options or a mane. Having a hard time picturing a cat running round with long flowing blonde hair. I do agree about the legs tho, would be a nice touch.

I'm just more interested in the traits at the moment as there is another thread about hair.

M'ress had long, flowing, red hair. Color isnt so much of an issue here IMO.

I'd give female caitians the option to use any of the short, long, slicked bac, ponytail, or pigtail hairstyles, and male caitians the receding and ponytail hairstyles.

ANY hairstyle would be a welcomed one. I'd like my Caitian to look less like a cancer patient from the back.

Actually, I've found the 'Pounce' one of the most useful Caitian skill available for ground combat (since it has a separate cool down from Lunge). In combination with the close combat kit, it gives the potential for the character to execute 4 Exploit attacks in a row in short order. In combination with a good Bat'leth and leg sweep, it can keep a End Boss unbalanced enough to prevent him from firing off his secondary attacks

Yea but my cat is an engineer, not a tactical =P

The +75% jump height has actually been rather useful for me, since I can hop up onto a small building or crate and set my turret up there, where melee enemies cant reach it.
