I once had an old power supply fry, and it was caused by, would you believe this, the case connecting with the motherboard. So in a way I was very lucky, but it was my own fault cause I built it and didn't double check. Learnt from that though, took some of the old parts, upgraded some others and got a new PSU and rebuilt with a new case, as the old cause had warped in a corner from moving which caused the problem.

Also yeah, Phoxe (who never did say good bye and no one but the staff at Cryptic know why) was replaced by Stormshade, his name is Shaun Brodie and he is our new rep. You can follow him on Twitter here. He does a brilliant job of stalking the forum users, tolerates a lot, always kind, always respectful and always helpful, but I guess that's all part of the job.

/Edit (again)

Do you know StormShade already, I just realised you said, "Are you the community rep for STO again?" lol

Hmmm, his last post said he'd been moved to another project. Wonder where he's at now? Champions? Neverwinter maybe (though I don't see why'd they'd need a community manager there yet since the site is just a teaser still)? Maybe some other Atari game?

Welcome back shikamaru317. I remember you of course. I'm always happy to see one of the pre-CB forumites back.

Sadly Phoxe is no longer with Atari/Cryptic.

Dang, I'd hoped he'd just been transfered to a new project like his last post said. He will be missed. At least we got StormShade back. He was a good Community rep before they transfered him to Champions temporarily and I was sad to see him transfered, though Phoxe did an admirable job of filling his shoes. Glad we still have a good community rep.

Welcome back shikamaru317.

I pretty much continued along the veins as when you left with threads about improving aspects of the game.

Yeah. I saw some of you're threads today. Excellent work. Thanks for keeping things going. I was truly amazed by how many of the things from my old compilation were added since I left. They're getting things done far quicker than I anticipated. It's too bad my campaign to get more Star Trek alumni to lend their voices to the game fell through though. Maybe one day.

They've taken a good dent into your old list:
  • Sector Space has been changed
  • More ship sadded
  • Shuttles are available for testing
  • The Foundry mission creator is in testing
  • Crafting doesn't resemble launch at all (and it's useful to boot).
