Ok, you asked for it:

First off, keep the Aenigma Nebula but make it spawn at different sector locations that are open to both Fed and Kling factions (i.e. Orellius, Psi Velorum, Eta Eridani, Gamma Orianis, etc) every 24 hour interval. Since the nebula is a space/time anomaly it would make sense and give it some mystery.

For those who've spent the money for Lifetime Subs, give them transwarp capability to the Captain's Table.

Inside the station do this:

1) BO vendor (sells Blue and Purple level BO's for a reasonable amount of EC)
2) BO skill trainer (trains new skills not currently in-game to BO's) (can only learn these skills at C.T.)
3) A club similar to Club 47 at ESD.

As mentioned by other forum members, add:

1) Library Computer that would include: ship schematics, timeline (to 2409), crafting requirements, etc.
2) Canon (guest) captains that may just stand around or may have some interaction. (i.e. Kirk, Sisko, etc.)
3) Holodecks with continuously running programs of Vic's Lounge (DS9) and Fairhaven (VOY)
4) Usable Offices for R.A. level and up.

Maybe The Captain's Table should just be turned into a cool bar inside ESD. That might be interesting. Maybe an old-fashioned looking one - something like that anyway.

Yes, this is good, doesn't really affect gameplay balance because you can get rare/very rare BOs through leveling, exchange, or this hypothetical CT store. Increases availability without drastically affecting gameplay balance.

This, however, is a major issue because people who don't have access to CT won't have access to these "exclusive" skills. If the skills are even slightly better than any normally-available skill then players who have been playing for a long time (or ponied up for LTS) will be at a major advantage in PVP against players who just started yesterday.

Instead of new skills how about the player-trainable skills? If you have a good fleet or don't mind begging in ESD zone chat you should be able to get these. Or you could go to the CT and pony up some EC (or latinum. Give us another reason to use that stuff).

Well, the only way to get Photonic Officer III is through the referral program, so there is a bit of precedence for giving out specials skills to select players. I don't think it's necessarily a good idea, but not a huge leap.

Frankly I'd like it if we could just train some of the rarer skills for an increased cost. Let me train something like Beam Overload III or Tyken's Rift III and I'll visit the CT much more often. Not like my merits are going towards anything else.

There are so many great ideas in this thread and it's just too long to read them all. Here are a few of my list of wants though.

Transwarp to Captain's Table
Transporter Room beam-in point and nice voice-over welcome from a Trek personality like Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner, or one of the many others.
Larger and more visual club/entertainment area with various games (Career Officer's Lounge or some other cliche Trek name).
Ability to obtain items in-game that aren't available anywhere else that can't be sold, traded, mailed, to other players (like Section 31 gear).
More interactive environments (like the ability to properly sit at that huge table).

I'd like to support what others have said about it being a source for the Foundry. I think it would be useful as a place of remembrance and learning. Not only the Foundry, but allow crafting there as you do in Memory Alpha.

As for remembrance, I'd like to see a room with a console that can bring up a hologram of all canon ship chassis throughout the years of Star Trek for our viewing pleasure.

And also, offer up vendors for rare and very rare items that you can buy with actual game credits, not exploration points.

I'd also like to suggest that it might be nice to see portraits of famous Star Trek characters displayed around the station as well.

I'd like to see...
  1. The ability to go there from anywhere, like a transwarp button, with the ability to return to where I was previously.
  2. A really useful seller. The ferengi that was there the last time I visited, had pretty slim pickings of mostly low level stuff (come-on.. why does a lifetime or long-time member need yet another vendor selling MK2 items, when SB01 is actually easier to get to?) How about giving us the descendant of Harcourt Fenton Mudd? He's a Captain too.
  3. A "Choose your ship" guy... especially useful when combined with the transwarp power. "I'm in the furthest sector from Earth, and I've met up with a group that wants to do a great fleet action?.. I really need my heavy cruiser for this." Pop to CT, change ships, pop back.
  4. RARE FOODS AT THE BAR. Feel free to make them expensive.. or even (shudder) bound. But really, we're at the most exotic bar in the game.. how about some Heart of Targ, Tranya and Romulan Ale?
  5. Dabo and other mini-games.. for sure. That whole room off to the left could be a casino area.
  6. Crafting? Discounted schematics? And perhaps a base supply vendor that DOESN'T charge a markup for crafting base supplies, like the ones at Memory Alpha do.
  7. How about some aliens? I know that there's a lot of "key players" among the NPC's of the game.. but how about a Devidian drinking at the bar, and some other characters we haven't met yet? Maybe some characters we never WILL meet.
  8. Speaking of NPCs.. mix up the Character NPC's a bit. Make a pool of available NPCs, and select from them randomly.. don't show them ALL at once.. maybe this visit, Admiral Quinn will be there, maybe next time it will be T'Nae or Sulu.. and make it somehow be the same on all instances. and if they're there.. let us interact with them the same as we could in the real universe. Let us get missions from them, or turn them in if they HAPPEN to be there when we're there. Sure, I guess we could use our "contact T'Nae" button on the minimap cluster to "Call" the real T'Nae to turn in a mission... but c'mon she's standing right in front of me. Heck, maybe layer on a little extra XP or one of those various emblems or something if we manage to turn in a mission to her in person while she's at the Captain's Table.

This place is supposed to be a perk.. a reward for lifetime-subbing to the game, or being a loyal subscriber for an extended period. Right now it's a neat place, I guess.. but it's just that.. a place. Nothing inside is unique, nothing actually rewards the player who gains access to it. Having the Captain's Table be an unlock for people who have spent months trying to track down the top level foods to breed their last 3 tribbles... giving them a small advantage in the game (functionally the ability to quick-change ships). Toss in a way to repair ship damage and crew injuries.. and it's like the wormhole that the Enterprise C used to re-load and refuel in the crucial moments of the battle of Narendra III.
