1 meter = 3.2808399 feet, hmmmm.....guess it would be too much to ask for the devs to convert all foundry measurements to the metric system.

Conversely, the dimensions of objects are their stated side (x) multiplied by 0.3048

Just divided object dimensions by 3 and you're close enough

That's deliberate. I assume they wanted a soft launch to limit the the load on their new server farm. And it also gives the creators to get some stuff published before the Official launch. And that's going to be later in the week.
