An Author mailbox button in our mission window...

What do you guys think?

That way the players have a way to report to the author bugs, typos, etc.

Could link back to our own mailbox too...

Interesting but why not just give your "mail address" in your map for feedback? I think it'd be easier that way.

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're proposing...

The author name is in the mission info when you take it on Foundry. No reason why you can't just use the current mail system to send them such a mail.

I don't think having a "Mail Author" button would be a bad thing, but I would put it on the review screen that pops up after the mission is complete. Honestly the best feedback was what I received from individuals who took the time to send me a detailed email. Having a shortcut to the in-game email and have it fill in the authors @name would be nice.

Not against it. Just don't think it's absolutely necessary. =)

Immersion breaker? Don't want my mail plastered on my mission. A nice small little inconspicuous button that allows the users to contact the author, I thought would be nice.

Lazy people won't take the time to open the mailbox, type the author name, then the message. If there was a quick way to do it, I think people would use it.

Your name is listed as the author....so i don't know what you mean by immersion breaker.

Lazy people won't send you mail anyway...

And I am sure you would also get those that would send snide remarks to the authors just to get under their skin as well. For that reason alone, I say NO.

Your name is on the mission....they can still do that even without the button.
