Since there are numerous players who don't want to play matches where the other team uses ability X,Y or Z, I feel that it is time to create a white list of abilities that are allowed - without any restrictions regarding the number of players using them.
I will post a complete list of all abilities in the game and you post which abilities you want removed from the list. Everything that is still on the list at the end is allowed and you promise not to cry when you get beaten 15-0 by a team using these abilities.

Restrictions regarding "only x ships/captains of type y" cannot be part of this list, since it is entirely impossible to do this without killing pugging. Only things that each individual player can control can be placed here.

There really is no point to this.. There is no way it can be policed, and even less chance of justifying a "ban" on one or more powers.

I really dislike FAW and SS3, but Im under no illusion that I can determine what is and what is not ok to use.

Id have loved if the upper echelons of teh PvP community had come to an agreement on abstaining from using this or that power. Sort of "Ok you PUG people.. Use whatever you want, premades wont"

I expected that to be honest, and I was surprised at the "We have to abuse it, in order to get it fixed" attitude.

Mines - Only useful for spamming besides chronitons. Would prefer 1 potent mine.
Photonic Fleet - Spam. Would prefer a new Sci power or even just one more powerful photonic ship)

Scramble Sensors _3_ and Beam Fire At Will can go off. I suspect SS1 and SS2 are less problematic, due to the lower duration and less target-hopping effect.

Is this a joke? And a bad one at that? How exactly will you police this? What happens if someone uses these abilities because there are those that will use these JUST because they are on your list...

I've heard Fasa's roleplaying police is out of job now, I think they will gladly take this job.

Thank you, Hilbert. I have been looking for an approved list of powers that I am allowed to use. You have taken a bold initiative and created what should turn into the ultimate PvP reference thread (mods, please sticky this right now). When this list is completed, I look forward to years of QQ-free PvP.

BTW, you forgot: cloak, pets, turn rate, SNB, alpha, RSF, tricobalts and probably much more.

So they rage quit and limit the PVP player base even more? I guess that leaves the players who do not take this all as serious as some.
