First of all it's not a 'child being forced into combat.' It's a non-existent entity in a video game.
And words in a book are blotches of ink on what's left of a tree, yet words have had more than a little impact on human society from waaaaaaaaaay back.

Except for the kids playing this game who are being shown that it's okay for the 'good guys' to use other sentient beings as 'attack pets'. And yes, I'm old enough that a lot of the people playing this game look like kids to me even if they're technically 'teens'. Even some that are beyond the teens... :p
One question though: am I the only one that doesn't find the "duty" joke funny?
Considering one is pronounced doo-tee and one is pronounced dude-ee, I never felt it was even that strong of a pun when I saw comedians or TV shows make that gag before. The words don't sound confusingly alike to me and "duty" doesn't have any fecal connotations for me.
