I've been having odd issues all day. 90% of the time, when I try to log in, I get stuck at Retrieving List of Maps. A few times, I've actually loaded in to the game, but i can't do anything, i just rubberband around and then finally disconnect.

I ran the nettest tool and everything appears to be passing correctly. I've tried connecting via both the US and EU proxies with no luck. I even connected over a VPN tunnel to make sure my ISP wasn't shaping the traffic some how (although it's been running fine up to yesterday)

Any ideas?

What does your nettest.exe bandwidth look like? Have you tried a traceroute to patchserver.crypticstudios.com?

Traceroute is able to get to the patch server with sub 100ms latency.

you nettest is looking a little erratic readins as low as 213 to 1037. the reading should be fairly close in values for a stable connection. also your idle reading is way too high (should be close to 0) indicating some heavy net traffic being recieved and sent while the test was going on.

Turns out it was a hardware issue at my ISP. As soon as they swapped out the defective part, I am able to connect again.

I find myself also with a Similar issue; I get in, then my ship just spins around and I get d/c'ed and server not responding. I do have a ticket but no idea when that's going to be done so I thought I would bring it here just in case there's anything wrong. All my other Steam games and internet stuff works fine. Very aggravating

I did submit a ticket and ran the net trace and am waiting now see what needs to be dome. But it's still annoying as all heck and this had made me quite upset at the lack of being able to play a game im paying for. Even when I was playing before i recently re-act my account it was always crashing and losing service, seriously what is so hard about having working servers? is there more than one even?

Edit: for what it might be worth here's basically my ticket verbatim:

When I did the trace I got this I hope it helps explain something cause I have no idea:
