I have witnessed and received some horrific damage from FBP, but for my own tastes, it is far too situational for me.
Most people are wise enough to switch targets when they see it, so I always felt it a bit of a wasted slot. A decent way to keep people of you for a short while, but honestly I just sit there and wait for the buff counter to hit zero and start shooting again, or switch targets for the duration.

It can also be "overcome" by sheer weight of enemy ships. By that I mean if there are 5 of us we only need to do 20% of the damage required to take you down as individuals, so can kill you without dying ourselves.

Well I admit, I was using it for a while in my tanking Noobula...it was awesome to see some people killthemself on me....until I was subnuked twice, gimped with tractor beam, showered in warp pee and stunned with photonic fart.

I've ran FBP builds since Open Beta (recently switched to CPB since I've been pugging a lot less).

FBP is amazing, don't let anyone tell you otherwise :p

Just make yourself look like the idiot that's zerging in before your team, pop EPtS + TacTeam + Delta, Sensor Scan the guy in the middle of the other group, and lol as they nuke themselves.

I <3 watching Escorts melt their own faces off with they try and decloak + Alpha you.

The damage is very easily countered, however, with even a simple Polarize Hull 1.

It's quite useless for your team, but an amazing damage tool for yourself. In a way, I guess it's an indirect tool for your team, as you will not only require less heals, but you are free to blast away and use your heals on others.

Feedback pulse is an awesome ability. I don't even have a sci cap <yet> but this one single ability as being primarily a tac has made me want to level one. Flying my escort I have been in awe of this ability.

Fairly long cooldown, 15 second duration. It's a great way to keep a sci in the game as well as yet another way to make an unwary escort vulnerable to your team mates when made aware, "this guy is at 30% hull boys go get em!"

I don't think it's OP, I don't think it's broken. Just a great skill and when timed right can really throw a game, in an indirect sort of way, it's a defensive/offensive skill. Not everyone can use it right, lots of weak fbp out there I just hull resist through it: hazard emitters/brace for impact/subspace field generator. But to those who do have it skilled correctly and know how to use it, nice work.

Whoever told you you shouldn't use it was a crybaby because they think it's op, or they don't understand it's full potential in my personal opinion, and they need to lern2play in either case.

And what makes you less annoying is wasting a high level sci slot on CBP 2 or 3.... until people start focusing you at least :p

Science ships that take advantage of the double tap ability are annoying. Here have a SS 10s later here have that SS again, oh here is a TR and wait in 10s you will get it again.

fbp 3 is a good skill. what makes it suck is that it has a massive shared cooldown with transfer shields (one of the best shield heals in the game) so if you use fbp you will be basically without any shield heals on your science ship.

I did not know this! Ouch.. I will rethink my future sci.

On the other hand, as an escort cap, that's really good to know.
