OK i left the game a few months back for this reason and have recently decided to resubscribe to see if there was any imporovement, only to be faced with the same problems as when i left it constantly crashes and disconnects from the server and when i do manage to actually play my ship just sits the before it disconnects again! any help or suggestions anyone? i have been trying now for over 1hr and 30 mins and its constantly crashing or logging itself off due to server and i Have tried all proxy servers!

No problems here, and if there were problems, the forums would be lit up with posts. I'm sorry to hear you have problems, hopefully someone here can help you.

All I can ask is why kind/speed is your internet?

your nettest looks good. looks like you don't have a port problem , at least on the critical ports.

look in the crash, shutdown, error logs in the cryyptic studios folder and the gameclient log file in the /live/logs folder to see if anything in the last few lines gives a clue.

you may have a corrupted hogg file causing the crash. (assuming you are not using teamviewer)

you might want to post a tracert patchserver.crypticstudios.com just incase there is a bad router in the path to the server.

Yea I ran that tracert and I came up with 3 totally different outcomes. The first time I ran it, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th hops timed out. 2nd time I ran it, it went just fine. 3rd time I ran it, it went, but way too slowly. I just got fed up with it and re-installed the game completely (picked up a newer WR120-N router as well). Since that I haven't been falling off at all. I would assume that if there were corrupt .hogg files, they were fixed with this method. Thanks for the suggestions and I hope I don't find myself proving myself wrong and end up on this thread again =) Take care all!

If you are on wireless and having consistent connections problems, try switching to wired first.
