Having just recently reached Vice Admiral on my Fed toon, I got to looking back at all the ships I've used through the ranks and out of all of them, the Excalibur class is my favorite based on looks.

That got me to thinking, wouldn't it be awesome if I could choose a ship and "refit" it for use as a Vice Admiral? For example - adding weapon slots, officer stations of choice, turning rate, hull and shield modifiers in much the same way as the Galaxy was updated to the Galaxy X, or how the B'Rel was updated for the KDF.

The way I envision this is a purchasable item through the C-Store that you can buy as many times as you want, but can only apply it once to each type of ship (so we don't have Mirandas running around with 20 weapon slots )

Other limitations could be that you can only have up to 4 weapons fore and aft. Larger ships that already have a total of 8 slots would probably get extra increases to hull and shield modifiers, and possibly turning rates. Granted, these refits would have to be limited somewhat. A star cruiser can't turn as fast as an escort, but a slight increase might be advantageous.

Thoughts? Would this horribly break things or improve gameplay for VA/BG players, thus encouraging the rise through the ranks for others?
