I'm betting my warp core on a change to the tutorial more than for STO to go F2P.

They are going to be changing the tutorial when they make a new klingon tutorial and redo the federation tutorial when both sides get an academy. That was supposed to be in at launch of S4 but it was pushed back.

Does the demo being taken down also affect Referrals? I'm guessing so.

With no KDF content, bugs EVERYWHERE, no new content for 6 months (yes I know there is content coming) it isn't a good idea to go F2p now. Cryptic employees better not buy anything expensive if they want to go there now..
not to mention if u want to play as romulan and cardassian or even the BORG. IF this game was to go free to play u will see that it takes forever for cryptic to release them and get enough content for them. just saying.

Yes, thats it! I hope that STO will get much more content updates and overall improvments. The chance to get this in a larger scale with F2P STO, is very low.

The best way to get to this updates is an additional investment by Cryptic in STO. F2P is the wrong way!

My dream is that Cryptic would have put more investment into STO, for instance, through recruiting additional developers or through a complete overhaul of the game with new smart ideas.

Partly this was already implemented, for example, by redesigning the ground fighting.

Keep up the work, Cryptic!

I say bring on F2P. Subscribers will get more for their money than they already do, and people who dont want to subscribe still get to play and buy the specific things they want. Here is how it works:

As you can see in the F2P matrix above, your LT sub is just as useful then as it is now. And Champs has proven that content doesnt stop once going F2P:

Champs community is still great and it is getting more content now than before. Win/win for everyone.

Thank you for information. That concept is new to me.

But this concept isn't really a F2P concept, that's a semi F2P concept.
