No we will not calm down.
And the reason for this is: WE DON`T HAVE ANY OTHER CONTENT EXCEPT THOSE FES.
Yeah we got 2(!!) normal missions per rank. Awsome eh? What else. Sorties? Awsome. 6 x a space patrol. Very entertaining. Oh yes and we have non exisiting PvP at lower levels. Awsome again.
No, no we will not calm down if Cryptic reduces our ridiculously tiny content by 2/3 and so making it boring AGAIN to roll a new KDF toon.

But why?? Why I ask you should we accept such a thing?
I dont want to grind. I want to play somewhat entertaining episodes when I level up.
Feds dont care. They got enough content anyways. Sigh!

Strange, I started a new klink last weekend and got her to Lt. 10 last night and both the Breen & Devidian series became available. I thought it would be later? Also, the breen series was always lt. 10 before anyway. And I only had to wait four levels for the devidian one, which was Lt. 6 before. The Romulan series is still unavailable at Lt. 10, however. Looks like I'm still getting at least some stuff early, thank God.

Okay, so we're in agreement that the change does not actually affect the amount of grinding a character needs do, it only effects the quality of grinding by adding new content gradually. I can see the benefit of this. Our previous situation does leave the player facing a desolate wasteland of grinding once he's gotten done with all the Featured Episodes. But this situation leaves our players doing the exact same amount of grinding with less options in how they grind between the levels of 11 and 31.

So, calculating and comparing the differences we come down to the basic analysis of pros and cons. Does the break in monotony given by gradual introduction of Featured Episodes between levels 11 and 31 provide a benefit better than greater options in leveling from level 11 to 31. I still say no. For one, there's already a break in grinding monotony to look forward to in the form of the superb Klingon story missions, so a new break is less significant and two, the more different ways you have of leveling the less like a grind your grind will feel.

Now, getting from 11 to 31, from lieutenant commander to captain, is not the hardest part of leveling so I still don't think this is the end of the world. But I don't think it's a step in the right direction.

The theory behind this concept is sound. However it only works on the Fed side where they have the proper content to maintain a drought-less experience between FE's. For this to work here on the KDF side there needs to be some of those remastered FED Episodes from a KDF point of view done and in the mix, even if its just one per level.

Your argumentation is convincing. The amount of grinding is unaffected but having all FE series vom Lvl 11 onwards adds diversity to the grinding options. Despite that, the levelling of the FE series is set in stone, isn't it?

Yeah, there's not much to do about it except complain at this point.
