Also, check your targeting in your UI information. You may have it set to Auto assist a target. Which would also explain why your powers are jumping to different targets.

I'm not actually jumping targets. The target lock just vanishes from anything. Usually it happens in 1 on 1 situations with npc's. But it did happen in pvp as well.

I know I don't and it still unselects my target. After reading a few out reports on this apparently if you turn off deselect target when clicking off screen then you will stay on your target you have selected. It doesn't help you though if you have scramble sensors on you, which clicking off the screen is the easiest way to clear a target though.

Same here. Everytime i activate my Attack Pattern or something, i lose my target. Same in healing: I click a teammate, send him the first heal but the second one hits my own ship.
Should not be about my settings cause it worked just well the last couple of months

Yeah, it's absolutely unplayable to anyone who isn't in an Escort/BoP/Raptor, since they stack their buffs beforehand for the alpha strike.

Happened to me as well. Everytime I had a target and started activating abilities I lost my target. I went into my controls and turned off the option where clicking anywhere on screen de-selects current target as with the last patch the UI now counts as clicking anywhere whereas before it did not. This has to be a bug.

Testing has shown that if you click on items from using the portaits of your BOffs, it de-selects your target. You run the same power in the power tray, it does not.

Since it seems to be a bug (due to a change in behavior of the relevant function), bug the hell out of it. And probably create a thread in the bug forums. Though it seems someone did already: http://forums.startrekonline.com/sho...d.php?t=225963

By the way I already miss Dr. Cox in space Kilaw.
They are all copying me. I am the original, and best
