Seriously, having recently been levelling a Fed alt and doing the patrol missions, it's startling. This conversion would be so easy, especially with open sector space. I'm sure using tools similar to the foundry a patrol/sortie could be reworked for the KDF with minimum investment of time using existing in game resources, and it's not like the creative element is too high either since the patrols are light on story and heavy on action.
With a greater variety of sorties, levelling a KDF toon could be much more bearable, and the ammount of effort required to do this wouldn't suck too much time away from other Cryptic projects as far as I can see, so how about it guys? Seems like win/win to me, you get more mileage out of the same maps etc, we get more content for a content deprived faction. Win/win. Win..... win?
The open PvP transport raids that would have come with Season 4 (but was pulled due to feedback and bugs) was exactly like the Pi Canis Transport raid without the NPC Starfleet ships coming in to defend it.
For systems, yes there should be sector blocks with raiding in them. There are more raids coming. It is so we KDF's can level up our Marauding skill tree when it comes (the opposite but same idea as diplomatic ranks on Feds).
Yeah, "coming" is the point though. Why do we need to wait when the meat and potatoes of it can be whipped together so quickly, and be allowed to improve the game experience for the KDF now, not at some undefined point in the future that could be next month or next year.
I see your point, but "not much" is all the time these sorties would take. With the Foundry, we got a glimpse into how easy a relatively simple patrol is to put together. You litterally don't have to figure out anything past what's in the more basic of the Youtube tutorials for the Foundry. No real plot has to be thought of, and much of it is just placement of NPCs and some scenery, typing some text, and adding objectives.
