I just did the Kern system assault on my now Captain 8 (he leveled during the mission). 4 Starfleet ships guarding 5 Satellites. Every ship was a Battleship. 2 Noble-class, 1 Sovereign-class, and the typical Typhoon.

4 Battleships. 4 ships qualified to be level bosses.

Why was it so EASY?

I'm serious. Never did my shields drop below 80%. I've done the Pi Canis Sorties too many times. I've done the Deferi dailies so many times, that yesterday I vaporized a Chel Gret Cruiser and took basically no damage, because it took me less than 5 seconds to demolish him (This guy was my level, I was at Outpost 3). I batter down battleships, sear science vessels, and escort escorts to Gre'Thor. The Breen fall so pitifully easily too me, that I've gotten BORED tanking a Chel Gret and 3 Plesh Brek Frigates in the Kelvani Belt.

Cryptic, I implore you. Please, for the love of the Prophets, Agosoria, Q, and whatever OTHER Star Trek diety you can think of, find some spare time to engineer something more for the KDF to level on. There's a reason that only 18% of STO is in the KDF. We need CONTENT! Even if it's some extra story meat about the War (I plotted a really nice series where the KDF tried to ally with the Terran Empire, and another where they started pushing back into Romulan areas to outflank the Federation), it would be SOMETHING. Give us patrols in the sector blocks you gave us in S4. Something, please!

Content is FOOD, and we are STARVING! There's FAMINE on Qo'Nos! Please, HELP US (or, in Klingon, "bel QaH maH")!

See the story of the KDF with Cryptic in Peregrine_Falcons threat via the link in my Sig.
They had more then a year to add more KDF content, but just gave out some scraps.

I suspect NPC ships are easy to defeat because of tofu. They eat so much of it that only one or two of their bridge officers are able to even move.

This is even worse considering the ease with which Starfleet patrol misions can be ported over to KDF, which is what most of the PiCanis sorties consist of.

I'm not sure how many of the patrols lend themselves to easy porting over to repeatable dailies. I just did one where I investigated some ambushed frigates. I flew from one frigate to another, scanned them and determined the Romulans were to blame... the only other ship I saw was another player who joined my open instance group halfway through.

Rewriting a quest like that to be done from the Klingon perspective is really as simple as changing the scan dialogue and probably can be done in half an hour, but that's not a quest anyone will want to do more than once every 6 months.

I found out early on that if you want any challenge in the game you need to play on elite - and never change it

I played elite yesterday... the Sovereign I had to fight had 4 times my hull... But I did get it to 40% before exploding!

Welcome to PVE in general? Here, try this out for me will you?

1. When you get to Tier 5 ships, go and requisition a Hegta BoP.
2. Better yet, take whatever ship you have now to Tier 5 missions when you get to general rank
3. Load up your ship with all beam arrays (better yet, load them out with their standard starting equipment)
4. Do NOT put in any bridge officers
5. Go and run some of the pi canis missions where you just move from place to place killing things
6. Now, this is next step is IMPORTANT! GET A ROCK THE SIZE OF YOUR A OR D KEY!
7. Go and engage the first ship you encounter
8. Put your pet rock on your A or D key
9. Press spacebar ONE TIME, just make sure your weapons are set to autofire
10. Go Alt Tab and browse your favorite website
11. Get some coffee, or tea, or whatever you like to drink
12. Alt tab back to the game
13. Yay, you won! You're a winner!

This is all it takes to win PvE

EDIT: No, the above is not meant to redicule the OP. Rather, I like what the OP said, because essentially it's saying "Cryptic, PvE is so easy even a caveman can do it!" I only wanted to add "Rocks can PvE too!"

If you like Sith as much as you like Klingons, help ... content ... and other options are on their way.

1: I was already planning on getting the HegTa.
2: No thank you.
3: Again, no. Beam boats are unnatural. And I typically get boosted marks of the same equipment (Except I roll Quantum, and I get some FE equipment and decent consoles).
4: No thanks. I've already spec'ed my BOffs for their positions.
5: Those are the only ones I play. Pi Canis Sortie Alpha.
6: I have a keybind for that. I press a button, and I don't stop turning until I press it again.
Quote:
/bind <KEY> ++<Direction you want to turn> (like, for me, /bind numpad4 ++left and when I press the number pad's 4, I keep turning left until it's pressed again) (I have my entire number pad set up as my flight controls)
7: That's a given.
8: Again, keybind.
9: I press spacebar a lot. I only have my Torpedoes in my power bar.
10: Um... no.
11: I do that BEFORE I engage the enemy.
12: Seeing as I didn't alt tab away, null.
13: I win faster by doing it my way (buff up, decloack, vaporize).

...And I win PvE faster.
