A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
I have a VA tact officer that use to have dual and dual heavy AP cannons with a Quantum torpedoes in the fore. I spec out in AP and Quantum's. My tactical consoles are for AP and cannons (2 for AP's and 2 for cannons although I I have changed it around on numerous occasions). I have the Defiant retro fit class tactical ship so when I de-cloak i fire and I am lucky if I get the enemy shields all the down on the first volley and yes my power level is to attack setting. I have a Resilient Mk XI shield array with consoles that help with the shield capacity and regeneration rate. Same class ship decloaks and takes me out in less than a volley and the same incident occurs with my Sci and Eng class VA characters as well. I have respeced and tried other forms of weaponry such as phasers and the likes without success. Can anyone tell me how I can achieve the same results as others in pvp because I really don't have much of a defense against it.
Its bad ***, seriously, I wouldn't go into pvp without it. As long as thats up you'll have to peal down all the strength off all his facings in one go. Its basically a super fast reenforce shield facing power. Love it.
Thats just a guess though, but there could be other factors still.

Funny thing happened the other day. I was separated from my fleet group and ended up going against my fleet mates with a team that we were owning every round. Since our fleet always uses vent my fleet leader designated me as primary... funny right. But to get to the point. I was on my eng in my escort engaged with my fleet leader (Tac, escort) and a fleet admiral (eng, cruiser) we all use multiple tac teams and hazard immiters. Anyways I was engaged with the tac but watching the cruiser as soon as cruiser hit his tac team I knew I had time to blow him up so I switched to him on his non buffed shield side. Next thing I heard is someones got me from the eng, then son of a #$@#% when he went boom. I was laughing so hard my fleet leader blew me up.
Tac teams are what you are probably lacking they buff the shield face taking damage. but dont use eng teams with tac teams since they share a global cooldown.
For defence: use emergency power to shields / tac team, hazard emitters / polarize hull etc. Always keep on moving, never stop (it's better to reverse).
For offence: never rush into combat. Wait for your weapon energy to regenerate to 125, preload your HY torp. Watch the target's buffs and pick the right moment (no EPtS, Sci Fleet, Extend Shields etc.). Fire your buffs (go down fighting, tac fleet, attack patterns). Then decloak, use rapid fire with your cannons, launch torpedo, throw in a beam overload 3 (use a dual beam bank). Watch the explosion and run. Timing is the key.

Get a borg set and use it with a Covariant Mk XI w/Cap^2 or take a full Aegis set. Drop the regen console and use an EPS or armor or RCS, whatever you like.
Reverse Shield Polarity I and II
Emergency Power to Shields I and II
Transfer Shield Strength I and II
Hazard Emitters I
Structural Integrity to Field II
Tactical Team I and II
Emergency power to Weapons I
Direct Energy Modulation III
Alpha Strike III
Going down fighting
Thanks for all thge helpful ideas and suggestions. I really do appreciate it.
Hi Sand,
Well, I like the Tactical Escort Refit. I use it, and personally, I think that AP aren't worth the skill points you put into them. I would stick to phasers, and put your skill points into something that will make your power lvls higher, or make your Sci abilities better. I personally use 4 DHC right now, but am thinking about going to 3 DC, and 1 quantum. Make sure that everything is Mk XI rare, and very rare.
This is what I do in my ship:
I fly up behind someone, hit all my abilities. APO 3, CR 2, TT3, Tactical Fleet, Fire on My mark, & APA 3. (This will change when I start using quantums)
Decloak, hit my tractor beam (Full Borg set) and fire. someone who doesn't know what they are doing will be dead in 10 seconds.
For Bridge officer abilities, I would do EPtS 1 & 2. Polarized Hull 1, and Hazard Emitters 2. Put a Halon System in your Sci console, as that will effect your PH, and HE.
Make sure that you use at least 1 if not 2 EPS flow regulators.
Get rid of one of the quantum consoles. only use one. Put another cannon in there since that is your main weapon. I would also recommend 3 turrets in your aft, or 2 turrets, and a cloaking tractor mine. Depends on your play style. Hope this helps.

Wow, this is a perfect example of a zombie cruiser. Staying alive is the only thing it can actually do.
Suggestions:
- switch to the Excelsior-R or an escort

Using the Borg shield on an escort is the worst one can do.

Both share a global cooldown, think about a combination of TSS and HE or PH. Use AP:O if you're afraid of tractor beams.

Tactical team 3? Probably the worst idea for that slot. Take TT1 and i.e. HY3, BO3, AP:B2 whatever.

On an Escort? Oh dear. Why waste a precious slot for a damage dealing weapon like a turret for mine spam?

Anyone that can hit RSP, TT, Evasive, TBR etc. won't. Try to do it in 3 seconds.
I realize that my ship doesn't do much, as far as any kind of remote dps, which is why I am seeking constructive advice from other players. Thanks for your input as I already have consider it. I was hoping for somethng a little more constructive though. Any other suggestions?
