One last question, the points on the tractor beam are really necessary? Every time I use tractors without points on it, they seem to freeze the target with no problem..

No the points aren't needed or anything. It will make a very small diffrence, feel free to use them else where if you want, I think that covers the important stuff anyway. You could probaly throw them into Weapon Efficency, so your power stays up a bit higher when you do switch power settings.
I just tried out your ideas and OMG... thats much better than before. Speed really helps a lot, I was able to survive (except on a match against the spanish inquisition.. but those we already know ) much more and do a lot of damage with EWP, which goes around 20k damage with my tactical buffs

NP... lots of people waste all there best slots on heals. I like EPTS 3 and all... but 2 will get you by. Those lt. cmd slots are just 2 good to waste.
Glad you like it. I always found a cruiser that could move was a lot funner to play.
This might sound a bit crazy, and I have nothing against the cruiser or anything... but get good at motoring around in that thing dropping pee and popping torps into facings.... and you are going to have to at some point fly an escort. Honestly you can still run EPTS 2 (or damp with EPTS 1) and a TSS 2 + tac team to stay alive... you also get access to Attack Pattern Omega to make you zoom some more.

I think the best tip you gave me is that the surviving isn't all about shields.. speed counts a lot.
I'm also considering slaping in a RCS console instead of the EPS console, since I don't get the chance to change power levels too much as they are very good now.

Ya experiment with what you like... try switching to aux for a few sec before you hit your aux to damp... at full aux if you speced into aux stuff you can get it up to like 230% turn rate. But if if you just push the power up 30 or 40 and switch back you will get a nice bump.
Honestly if your shields are staying up... try One EPS one Neut one RSC and one Shield booster. You don't really need 2 armour units that bad. heck try 2 RCS and see what happens... with a full aux damp I bet you spin around faster then some escorts. lol

And with that, perhaps I could even try to get some front bite... instead of tac team, with BO with a DBB?
Tactical team is great, but it only lasts for 10s which is not that much, and shares the cooldown with eng teams. Also, one less beam for broadside, the others should do more damage due to less weapon power drain. Also, it would add another option to do damage if the target counters it with hazard emmitters. What's your opinion about it?

Sounds good... sounds like your thinking a little more about how to win, instead of staying alive. lol
Dead ships don't shoot back. Dying ones will mostly run.
Consider using Borg set, with Aegis deflector and shield regen consoles.. Then throw on two EP2W1 and two EP2S 2 or 3.. set weapons power to 95 (will hit cap with EPW1 running) and enough shield power to hit 125 with EP2S - Borg shield @ 4x regen is awesome.. Just hit TT1 when youre spiked.
