One will auto team you with anyone that is starting/has just started the mission you are entering. The other is that you are open to request for teaming, but you will not auto team ...

Hmmm, isn't that much clearer...

Noone around, who knows exactly, what these two are for?

Well, I just checked the manual. But there's only the "Team Join Mode" mentioned...

Doesn't look like, as if the manual is up to date...
