OK, in the description it says the Displacer can be equipped on any science vessel and since the D'Kyr is a Science Vessel - at least that's what the second yellow text in the description says. OK, it will take a little until I can fly it but the Rhode Island itself would be a nice ship for me right now. Overall only worth it's money for me if I can use the Displacer in the future and this means on the D'Kyr. Has anybody tried this yet and can confirm if it works?

Yeah, my science captain runs the console on his DSSV. Its probably one of the most useful Universal Consoles that they've put out, and makes the Rhode Island an extremely worthwhile purchase.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure that Ablative Plating on the Intrepid Refit is a power, not a console, so you can run your Intrepid-R with two amazing defensive powers.
