Not like that would change, regardless of ship he is in Beagles..

You know how I feel about it, the Raptor is close to the Defiant in performance, but they are both inferior to the MVAE which is again inferior to the Hegh'ta.

And they are all superior to the FE/Guramba.

Is that a reference to how good his top premade team is or to how low your opinion is of me? Just curious. It hardly matters either way. If it's the latter I'm sorry until now I hadn't had an opinion of you as I have no idea who you are.

As For Beagles, I'll be pugging mostly with my klingon sadly.. My klingon house doesn't seem to be too active when i get time off unfortunately. I think though that everyone's setup is their own and cannot be duplicated the same or run as well as others. That goes for any aspect of the game. I have heard you and your fleet have found great success in your team make ups and gratz to you for that.

While I like the raptor, it's tough to switch between my toons with defiants & bops, and then go back to the raptor. Doing that really illuminates how inferior the raptor's turning is. I guess it's the cost of having that extra engineering console compared to the defiant.

I haven't decided what I want to keep permenantly in that 3rd spot either. But for a change I am glad I can at least make a ship less appreciated work in the q's if not in a true premade match like was suggested.

I never fought you to my knowledge, but Beagles and gang are among the best players in the game.

Turn rate isn't getting too me yet but I miss the extra shields I had with my defiant. Think I figured out what I'm gonna keep with that 3rd engi console.

In regard to the OP ,this has been my experience with the Raptor:
When i leveled a Kling Tac ( i already had a science ) i initialy went with the BOP as i was already accustomed to it.It was "Ok" but i was expecting MORE punch realy with my Alpha ,FOMM ,GTF etc
So i switched to the Raptor to give it a shot. And wow ,this was it ( or so i thought )...massive DPS it seems, nothing i had ever felt with the BOP,not to that degree. This ship was literaly tearing "mighty" fed cruisers apart. The amount of dps generated by the raptor was close only to that of a fully buffed tac defiant decloaking and unleashing...
But my enthousiasm lasted only so long.Unable to bear my fearcefull front weapons on any fed escort ,that kept touching me funny from behind ,over and over again....or "crucified" by double sci tractors ,waiting forever to make a move only to go down in an endless it seems stun...So much for the Raptor "destroyer".
The Raptor is indeed a destroyer ,but turn rate -manouverability is such a distinct drawback ( which CANNOT be fixed with either RCA consoles or 2 versions of Omega1) that ultimately you will hate it for that.
Definitely unfair. The Raptor should have the turn rate of the fleet escort.

It does have the turn rate of the fleet escort. Just less shields, more hull, more tac boff/less engi and same console setup and a cloak.

I don't even use an rcs and the turn doesn't bother me with this ship at all. Just the loss in total shields. I guess the turn doesn't annoy me because I had gotten used to aiming up a vorcha with dhc's.. Had to use aux to damp on the vorcha but even that I found to be doable considering it's otherwise toughness combined with a nice defense rating of an escort.

Oh and btw, the vorcha is the only cruiser I would ever recommend a tac officer ever flying in pvp. The rest are either too slow or too little on the tac boffs to make it work with anything other than an engineer in my personal opinion.

I dunno.. I fly both the Negh'var, the Vor'cha, the Excelsior and the Assault Cruiser with Tac Captains.. I do pretty well (Still prefer my Defiant though, screw that overrated MVA junkpile.

On the mva agreed! One of the things I like about this raptor is everyone and their cousin's dog's sister isn't flying one.

I just felt like there wasn't enough tach boff options to really utilize the captains buffs on the negh'var. You don't feel the pinch while getting focused on your fed cruisers without the extra engi captains heals?

My engi is in an excelsior and I go slow and hover on one section of my enemies shields a lot, lowering my defense but upping my kill rate. He gets a lot of attention when I bring him out and dunno what I'd do if he was a tac. Though I need to quit slacking and get him his borg set.
