he said bye-bye to the global torpedo cooldown. in the newest Tribble patch notes, the global cooldown for torpedoes (not stated which torpedoes it applies to) has been reduced from 3 seconds to 1 second

Checked this out for a minute or two. Trics, Pengs still have their cooldown. Regular torps I can fire one, 1 second later fire from another tube then I have two torp tubes on cooldown for their normal cooldown time.

What about torp buffs? I think my head just figured out a way to fire off 8 bajillion torps in 3 seconds.

Yes, you should be able to preload 2 copies of TS3. And if your timing is immaculate, you can pop another TS3 a second later. So, max possible torpedoes in 3 seconds is 27.

Well that at will make some torpedo-builds vailable. But it doesnt make the old builds obsulete. Just adds more variaty. Nice.
