still not pleased with the Cheyenne and Olympic getting spiked in the new 2409 look capt logan is doing, it really should be them getting that + 1 treatment and the excelsior and nebula being additional options like they are now.

Bird of Prey: Hegh'ta Refit
Battle Cruiser: Negh'Var Refit
Raptor: Qin Refit

refits at tier 5 for the stock klingon tier 5 ships in the c store? i guess no one else noticed, but this is kind of big news, if its not a mistake. could the Negh'Var Refit have those underslung cannons it had in ds9? seems like a better counterpart to the Galaxy Dreadnought then the Guramba.

alternatively a complete overhaul of the tier system more in line with what i propose in my sig would be even better

Technically, you _are_ paying for it. The stipend does not come from a vaccum. I thought it was intended that the stipend was a bonus and not something carefully factored into our leveling experience.

Also, some people level incredibly quick. Do you believe it is intended.. or balanced that they wait upwards of five months before they can afford a vessel for a single character?

What if they have alts?

Right now, you can get a Retrofit Cruiser, Escort, or Science Vessel for reaching max level. Its not account wide but _every_ character gets one.

When this goes live, the next people who hit Vice Admiral will be paying $25 USD to get one. Sure, it will be account-wide but just to get their foot in the door, its $25 USD. And this is on top of a monthly fee of $15 USD.

I trust nobody has a problem with this.

With this new starship lineup is it possible to see the Achilles Class make an appearance? That would be a great ship to fill out one of the escort ranks.

<hops up and down raising her hand>

I do! I do! I have a problem with this!

What's free to subs now should stay free to subs after F2P!

I do have a question though, I grinded some Delta Flyer schmatics but are currently in my bank, what will happen to them? Also some of my characters have the retrofit ships that I recieved via VA token and not via C-Store, will I lose them?
I think losing the VA token will be somewhat palatable if we're getting the same dilithium rewards that "almost" buy a ship for a Silver player all along and don't have to spend that dilithium on ships like they do, assuming we get the dilithium still.

That should be enough to buy a second Rear Admiral ship.

And Vice Admiral Ships are C-Store only in the new model.. But it's probably worth considering that if we get the dilithium bonuses on rank-up AND the free ship tokens, the accumulated dilithium by the VA rank might buy enough C-Points from a Silver player to get us a ship.

I don`t like these changes. It`s a big step backwards - away from getting ships per play or per money. I don`t see how this fits into logic they told us, that there are some players with much money and some with much time. What about those players with much time? How are they gone afford this new, better ships. I can`t see, why other f2p mmos can live only with cosmetic upgrades while sto needs to pay for better items. Its all but trek.

P.S. If gold players are still getting the dillithium on rank up (and gettting a free token) this is the first step to drive economy crazy again.

I'm glad that the sneak peek at the starship lineup makes sense to the majority of you. This isn't necessarily final yet, but we'll be trying this out on Tribble for now.

I'm going to check with my team about the missing ships in the matrix and get them filled in. I can confirm that the "Charriot Shuttle" got moved to the wrong column when it got pasted into the web site. I'll get it moved out of the C-Store column.

As for why we are not keeping the free ship at Vice Admiral to Gold players, this is primarily because it creates an "exploit" where a Silver player could subscribe immediately before ranking up to get the ship, then cancel. This doesn't make the accountant types very happy. I have considered options whereby you have to subscribe multiple months to qualify, but that penalizes the well meaning player who happens to get to Vice Admiral before they hit the minimum time. This problem is unique at the Vice Admiral rank since we have never had any in-game ships at this rank. The ships have always been C-Store ships. I'll continue looking for a good solution, and I'm happy to read suggestions, but don't expect this one to change on Tribble in the near term. We'll be giving this one more thought.

C-Store ship unlocks are account wide. The upshot is, sure, it may take 5 months to get a full line of leveling ships if you haven't been collecting them already and you only use your stipend but after that 5 months, you don't ever have to wait again where alts are concerned.

Frankly, though, I think it would be a tremendous show of good faith on Cryptic's part if they issued a retroactive stipend for subs at least from the dateof the PWI acquisition.

wow, just wow, i currently feel seriusly screwed...

your putting currently obtainable ships into the c-store?
and thats the only way we can get them.

thats a big. F-you. in my opinion.

i must say that it's pretty clear that your going 100% after the perfect world f2p model.
aka, not concentrating at subs and making as much as possible c-store.

the only thing i can hope right now is that the current c-store prices on tribble will be lowerd.
or you shuld really start thinking of increasing the stipend of c-points with 100 per month.
