Let us add a console and universal ensign slot to normal ships.I don't care if it's a grind or apaid upgrade but especially as Tier 5 looks to be getting Plus ships, the ability toupgrade regular ships to the BO/console quality of a plus ship would help preserve the diversity and customization to be found in the game.
Heck. Maybe just a flat 400 Cryptic Points per ship? That's enough that it's non trivial and wouldn't cost new ship sales but would also allow people to plop on their shiny new consoles on an old ship without feeling like they have to own a Plus ship. Maybe as an added perk, that's what unlocks hull texture 6 for a ship.
