extra console slot, not consoles huh? i think you meant to say extra station slot, not consoles. but the patch notes says consoles. the retrofits have as many of their type of station powers as they can possibly have already, they couldn't push that any farther. i doubt these ships will have 5 of the same console type, that's a bit unprecedented. no, one of the consoles that they currently have 2 of will get a third, and if the galaxy retrofit doesn't get a 3rd tactical console like the negvar has, i will be VERY disappointed.

these VA ship consoles couldn't be interchangeable, they are too unique to the ship that comes with them. plus, your already at level cap to get them, so you wouldn't be using lower tier ships at all.

Nothing about exploration?? No alternatives to daily only sorry les content for you? What about the linear story progression issues with GO and B'Tran? What about Aid the Planet missions serving no real function at all now?

All these are still very unresolved issues that we have nothing but silence for. I am trying to remain positive but if these things are not going to be addressed...

The gold stuff came from outcry, the silver 2 plaque approach probably came from testing data. I'm guessing a lot of people gave up when they hit Comm. with no ship.

I agree with almost all you are saying. It seems like a good compromise. In fact, I also like the fact that there are no moe "free" VA ships. This makes sense for the endgame

I will still have to have a closer look at the new delithium prices for components., but also here it seems to be going in the right direcction.

And I may finally start taking the SFA event as something to look forward to instead of something to avoid to not deal with the griefers.
