Activating Torp Spread (1, in this case) puts my torpedo launcher in cooldown as if I had fired it, but without having done so. Basically, I activate Torp Spread and my launcher immediately goes on CD. I first noticed this a few days ago but thought I just missed it firing (as I have it on autofire). In the past couple days I've been closely watching this, making sure my launcher is ready to fire before I activate TS. The majority of the time my launcher will go on CD after activating TS.

I think the reason I never notice this before is because this is the first toon I'm using autofire torpedoes on. Maybe it's an autofire issue, I don't know. It's annoying as hell, though. I've submitted a ticket for this but since I can't see my submitted tickets anymore I can't post the ticket number.

Also, on a possibly unrelated note, I've noticed the incidence of my torp launcher graphically firing multiple torpedoes on it's own are increasing (as in, without any torpedo power active). So far the most I've seen it fire are five torpedoes at one target (on Tribble I've seen 8+ torps fire at one target with no torp powers active).

When it goes in to cooldown, is your target within your range/arc? Because there have been issues with it not firing and going in to cooldown if you arent locked on when you activate TS.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Last night I took the launcher off autofire and was flying straight at my target and his photonic fleet, hit TS and fired my torp. Nothing fired from the launcher and it went on CD. There was no corresponding explosion graphics at the target or torp damage numbers (indicating invisible torpedoes).

Prior to that I was making sure I wasn't facing my target to ensure my torp hadn't fired and was ready. Same deal. Immediate CD and no torps.

Ah. It sounds like a variation of the same bug that other people (including myself) have been having. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Update: I'm pretty sure this bug is caused by setting torps to autofire. I set a Hargh'peng to autofire and had the same issues without using Torp Spread (the 'peng wouldn't fire). I returned it to manual and can fire it fine. I have yet to test this with my photon launcher. When I do I'll post the results here.
