ok, what is so special to pay this much for these Bridge Officer?
I roll with Trill, Human and Betazoids Bridge Officers, and I am quite satisfied with their performance.

They have the Efficient trait that adds X% Energy to systems that have below a given power level. Basically it's a power booster like the Efficient trait, and if you have 5 stations with thoose BO's + a Captain with the Efficient trait... well... go figure.

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that efficient Saurian bridge officers have been showing up frequently in drops in the last month?

I know there is a hype for efficient officer, but have you seen the math on what an efficient officer will do for you ship? Here is the link.. http://www.stowiki.org/Trait:_Efficient
On my Fleet escort I have an efficient Borg, and Efficient Engineer and an efficient Captain. One +5 to system efficiency officer only changes my power level one(1) point if set at 25. Not worth the price they are sold for.
If you are creating a new toon in the future, the +10 warp core training trait also effects your power levels (by 3 points if my math is right).
So the point is that efficient officers are over rated and over price for the small effect they actually do.

Math part

Warp Core Skill (9) => 7 points to power systems
System Performance (9) => 9 points to system
System Efficiency (9) => equals +52 in skill tree
Borg Officer => +5 Efficiency
Suarain Officer => +5 Efficiency
Efficient Captain => =10 Efficiency

Equation: SystemPowerBonus = (Efficiency Points/300) x (75 - SystemPowerLevel)

SystemPowerBonus = (({+52}+{+10}+{+5}+{+5}) /300) x (75-25)
SystemPowerBonus =(.24)*50
SystemPowerBonus =12

Total power in system = 12 (efficient bonus) + 7 (Warp Core skills) + 9 (System Performance) + 25 (Base power level)
Total power in system = 53 => this is the final power level +/- about 1 because of rounding

Total power with just Borg Officer = 50.5
So the efficient officer adds about +1 power (when set to 25) for each officer.

Note: Warp core +10 trait can boost all systems by 3 points (Like having three efficient +5 officers)

I hope this helps some

If I made a mistake please let me know...the values agree with my Fleet escort power levels as this is how I validated the math.
