Previously when i used "Foundation Block 500x500" it was not fully colored and now it is.Just changed out of nowhere one day. It's very hard to create interiors when you can't see anything? Why is this so? These building blocks are now totally useless. Hours and hours of work wasted. Is this a bug or is this really meant to be this way? it's on every building block and foundation block you can use in foundry.

In the spirit of my thread - I have only used them like one time and they were a kind of sand color (if we are talking the same ones) - However I haven`t used them since so I`m not sure what has changed.
Have you tried contacting Cryptic ? Maybe its a bug or something?

I honestly wish I could help - hope you get it sorted though

With any Foundation object there are 6 different styles. The style incorporates the same colours and textures and each individual style can be determined by the number at the end.

Foundation Wall 200ft 06 is Style #6 and will go with any other Foundation Unit such as Foundation Block 50x50 06

A similiar thing happens with the various 'Building' details instead however with these assets there are only three different styles.

When they changed it so that the Foundry showed an image of objects in the preview the Foundations became fully colored in. I agree it is very frustrating working with them now. You pretty much just have to put everything down and then put the floor and ceiling in last. As you're working on the map, you also have to just keep moving the floor and ceiling out of the way.

If there was any sort of attention to the Foundry on the part of Cryptic then I'd say there's a chance we could get it fix. Since there isn't, I'm afraid we basically just have to live with whatever crumbs we get.

Well I prefer them to be colored for building things like cities.

Ceilings you could always add last.

It will be nice if/when we get a 3d preview window.

The problem is you can't control the layer order, and it's not determined by the Y value. A floor can cover up everything on top of it, including buildings, etc.

What actually seems to determine what ends up on top is order in the object list. Unfortunately, as you add more objects, each additional object is not added to the bottom. After a certain point they start getting added almost randomly to different parts of the list. So, the floor will almost always cover up half, if not more, of your other objects, making it impossible to work with it there.

Once again, if we had someone who could listen to our concerns I'd say we could get this fixed. But the supposed dev that has been added to the Foundry has not so much as shown his face here.

This problem has bothered me as well. If I had to request a solution it would be to give us control over the order of objects in the list. Preferably a simple drag and drop methodology.
