I for one find Disruptors and Phaser to both be superior. The SP requirement vanishing will make AP more plausible but a Stacking 10% Damage Resistance Debuff for ALL incoming damage > Than a Crit Bonus especially in groups. And with Phasers if your Engines or Shields proc you are DEAD in most cases.

You are making no sense at all.

My Polaron Dual Heavy Cannon [CrtD]x3 does the same Critical Severity as an Emblems DHC Anti Proton except that the Anti Proton does slightly more base damage which is negligible.

The most devastating weapons the game are simple Phasers, when they put your shields offline, you can be killed in those 5 seconds.

I dont know where you got the story that Anti Protons do significantly more damage, because its just not true unless there is some secret thing we don't know. In my opinion even, Cannons benefit much more from Accuracy under normal conditions, and you often do much more damage and even more criticals because you hit more. Crit weapons only really benefit if the targets bonus defense is lowered for the extra crits to even take effect. (Which is normally the smaller amount of the time a ship's defense bonus is down).


I think you just met an Escort pilot which actually knows how to output the maximum damage potential

When I suggested that there might be something else at work here I certainly didn't mean that someone was cheating.

...I suspect AP will be receiving a nerf once the skill tree basically equalizes XP investment.

I think you hosted it on the Raumpatroille Elysion FTP server but it was an old Beta version :/

The new ones also includes the RE phaser proc multiplier hax.
