# 1 Timing Patches
11-23-2011, 02:08 PM
If I were timing major patch downtime, I'd probably not do it for one of the two weeks when the entire American market is on holiday.

Two for the week of American Thanksgiving.

Make sure you do the same thing the last two weeks of December. If you are going to be culturally stupid at least make it complete.

Americans are notorious for never taking massive vacations. The average American would gasp at the average European vacation schedule. Americans no longer have any real holiday schedule except for these two weeks.

And yet Cryptic/PWG found the one week we do actually kick back... to patch. Three times.

Brilliant.

I suspect everyone is working on this late into the night to have it done FOR the Thanksgiving break. Why don't you try the main server in the meantime?

entire american market?

sorry to say, but there are a lot of company's that cannot take off for the holidays. security companys and supermarket chains just to name a few.

so instead of getting patches that improve the game, you'd rather not have the game improved for four weeks in a year just so you get in a little more game time?

Crazy unreasoned OP. They patched today so that we would have fixes for the weekend. They are patching now (I hope) so that they don't leave us with some game-stopper bug for the entire weekend.

Think it thru before you hit the internet, please.
