Yeah, I've been saying that I feel like I'm on a pinball table again. Disabled, out of control of my own destiny and bouncing around between enemy ships.

I did not notice being any slower than usual as I blundered into it time and time again last night in Ker'rat.

HE1 kept me alive during the slow waddle out of it as always by countering the burn.

Though I did notice some stickyness of its effects after leaving EWP once or twice and put it down to lag on my systems part.

Actually over a month ago.

Can't believe there have been no dev responses to this issue...

The reason motor really noticing it is because more and more ppl are starting to realize its bugged so they are changing their cruiser builds to ewp boats. It's definately bugged or buffed now IMO. A hazard emitter always cleared it before as long as it was ticking. Like Matteo stated, the only way to clear it now is to be completely out of the too BEFORE you hit your HE. It's only the initial triggering of HE that clears it now, instead of each tick of HE.

So here's my theory. Cryptic freaked out when they realized that their "cruiser online" game had switched to "intrepids online", so theyre ninja buffing cruiser back to their once glorious fortress state of being. Is it a coincidence that ewp and the AMS console came out around the same time? Hell, i wouldnt be surprised if the patch that introduced the stupid AMS console is probably where they ninja buffed ewp. An ewp stacked cruiser with AMS is starting to get sci grade crowd control. as of this past week all of my toons are in defiants. high engines and weapons power across the board, omega and hazzards for all. i dance around warp poo like the mess it is, and laugh at tractor beams. (unless they are stacked) and when given the opportunity, i will blow straight through the poo for the kill.

so many AMS'd Failaxy-X's, so little time.

What I do is align my ship in a trajectory that will cause me to cross the enemy ship bow...I then hit evasive manuevers followed by eject warp plasma, I loop in a circle and come back at the target, usually trapping it like a fly in amber.

What I have noticed on tribble however is that EVEN if you hit evasive first, that the use of eject warp plasma causes evasive maneuvers to choke or just sit there for a second or two. I effectively waste between a fifth and a third or the time I could move and eject plasma at the same time.

Since in-system maneuvers do NOT use warp drive, then warp plasma ejection should not effect impulse engines. They are even located in different parts of the ship.

But NOW eject warp plasma DOES effect evasive maneuvers. Why? Warp plasma has nothing to do with impulse engines. They are completely different technologies.

What nincompoop put this in place?

The new effect is far to strong, I can't even turn. If I use evasive I got in a straight line, if I'm lucky enough for it to even work.

It just doesn't feel meant either I mean it almost feels like your keyboard suddenly died. I use plasma eject in a cruiser but I honestly wouldn't want to do that to players.

As for this growing need for everyone to have to use HE or suffer, it's a joke but I think I'm going to need to go with the flow and add it too my defiant builds.

just remember you have more tools available to you than just that. there is the new evasive console that comes with the gladius, that will get you out.

and dont forget you can swap out devices while in battle. a deuterium burn works well too.

and above it all, APO is one very usefull ability, all escorts (and excelsiors that dont run BO3) should consider always having a BOFF with this ability.
