Just seems to have a slightly better hull strength and adjusted consoles, bonuses, and bridge officer slots over the Fleet Escort.

Although, I guess we should raise a ruckus about putting more ships as lottery boxes. If I was to do this, then I would have the 100 CP Lottery Box and the option to purchase the ship for $50 or $100. With the current probability of getting the ship the same.

I guess you overlooked the 5(!!!!!!) higher base turn rate.

It's a quite powerful ship, and most likely the best choice for an eng based escort build; however I wouldn't call it the best escort, let alone best of all ships.
