# 1 DOff Trait changes...???
12-12-2011, 12:58 PM
I just finished an assignment in which one of my Counselors needed to 'Conduct a Mandatory Therapy Session with a Jr. Staff Memeber'...,

Would it be possible in the future, to have the where-for-all to actually change a "bad" trait to a 'good' one?

That (IMO), would add another complete level of play to the DOff System...

Adjusting the traits of the White Duty Officers alone would be intersting...

Perhaps even making them even more Rare/Unique for ones crew.

I would suggest that altered DOff's become Bound though as a way to keep things simpler. (?).

Now if you could only name the bad traits.

Agreed. All traits seem to have their uses in different missions, even Unruly. I've twice gotten critical successes from the Drinks on the Town mission because I loaded it up with all my Unruly misfits. Both times, that was worth well over 1K points in Development.

Bad traits have uses in different assignments:
  • Aggressive is needed for most military assignments, save ones that are providing security where tactfulness is required.
  • Unruly is used in many morale activities (think Riker on shoreleave)

Meanwhile:
  • Emotional is used in assessing refuge situations but doesn't work in espionage.

That's why "bad & good' are in quotes...

It would depend on the Captain's wishes.

And the changes may not always work out for the best.
