I spent 45 minutes on the phone to my ISP and as a part of it I was logged in as a different user, then it worked (used a different route path) If I try to ping that IP address (38.111.40.114), it get failures

They have an engineer 'looking' at the problem but it appears (from the forum) that it may not be just me

Yeah it mostly depends on where you live i guess see good thing i said too check with your IP It may be a pain some times but its better too know then not too know

Thanks for the suggestion Xcom46. I tried that, it said it successfully flushed the DNS and I verifed the files again when the launcher suggested to. Unfortunately, I'm still getting the same routine of crashing and error message about on-demand patching.
