I am not really sure about your graphics card as it may have a few niggly issues. The HD3850 card has an onboard graphics memory of 256MB whereas yours has 64MB with the rest shared. Graphics memory is generally much faster than system memory and so stuttering may occur.

You should be able to run it as even a lowly netbook can run it in safe mode but I would not expect the high end visuals to be enabled.

Probably a dumb question... is there like a new graphics card I could buy for this notebook?

Nope, Integrated graphics I'm afraid so its built into the motherboard.

Intel HD Graphics is sort of 'borderline' with accelerated graphics support. You may have to enable 'Half-Resolution' in the Video properties to get decent frame-rates...
