The new ground skills have increased the odds, but be nice if we could at least have one more minute to the timer.

And Cure Space could be tweeked so there is less ship spam.

have medics kitbash and buff you up then switch back to medic

engi run in > mines > cover shield > light of god if needed> shoot X2
Medic follow engi > shoot > hide behind covershield> heal > shoot X2

Tactical > Smile because youre not dead.
The minimum you need to complete the infected optional on normal: 2 people (preferably with voice communication) that know what to do. Of course what's also needed is people who don't rush into the doorway and start the assimilation before you are ready. Many curses have been heard because of that. Cover shields are obviously great since they give you (duh) cover while standing in the middle of the open room without any. Also use shotguns to take out the workers.

That doesn't work vs the Worker Drones that are only interested in assimiating the poor officer until they are dead or he is a borg.

btw. does anybody have an idea what these Nodes are for that sit on the ground and do nothing?


and nope never could complete that optional either.
one time i got close but we failed in the last room.

it would help a lot if you could actually see the progress bar...
at least new players would notice that there is SOMETHING going on.

the nodes disable the borg, just as they did in the old version... now you would think that would be cool.... but the nodes have more health then the borg... so there is no point killing the nodes when you can kill the borgs faster with AoE weapons anyway...
